The outgoing 2022 has become perhaps the most difficult in the history of modern Russia. The reasons for the extremely serious crisis are quite understandable, although this does not make things any easier. And especially in this unexpected era of change, the auto industry of the Russian industry suffered, although others – for example, the aviation industry – struggled. But our compatriots fly much less often than they ride on their own wheels, so we felt the collapse of the car industry and the car market very sharply and painfully on our skin. However, according to the experts of the AvtoVzglyad portal, today is the time to summarize not only the sad results of the year, but also very positive ones.

After all, only completely blind (or openly anti-Russian) elements do not see that the country is more than successfully coping with the blockade, which is growing into complete isolation, which unfriendly powers have arranged for us. Yes, cars of decent and proven brands have practically disappeared from dealerships (the parade of departures began with the French Renault and ended with its sister Nissan).

In April, the production of Russian car plants fell by 70%, and in May the domestic market for new passenger cars bottomed out – sales fell by as much as 80%. Cars (both new and used) and car parts have also skyrocketed in price.

But against this background, neither AVTOVAZ, nor UAZ, nor GAZ, nor KamAZ completely stopped their production and even gave citizens and companies “anti-crisis” cars at, we note, very reasonable prices. Then at least parallel imports began to work, and a little later Chinese, Turkish and Iranian comrades began to actively help us (and Indian, Vietnamese and even Thai comrades extended a hand of friendship). In addition, both in the delivery of current vehicles and in the field of spare parts and consumables. Yes, and the government of the Russian Federation took seriously the solution of “transport” problems.

However, you can learn about all the positive trends of the outgoing year in Russia’s automotive life, which will bring good chances of resuscitation in 2023, from the next – and by the way centenary in a row – release of the podcast from the AvtoVzglyad portal (you can listen to it here).
