The share of affected components from Russian suppliers by the time mass production is launched will be at least 50%, according to the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov.
The electric Largus is currently undergoing extensive road and laboratory testing. The machine is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with a power of 110 kW. Lithium-ion batteries are located in the engine compartment, as well as where the fuel tank was previously located, which makes it possible to fundamentally lower the vehicle’s center of gravity and completely save space in the cabin and the volume of the luggage compartment. By the way, in the five-seater version, the cargo compartment has 560 liters of luggage space.
The power reserve is 400 km, the acceleration to “hundreds” is less than 10 seconds, and the peak speed, electronically limited, is 145 km / h.
“With the new machine we can achieve several goals at the same time. This includes loading the production capacity of the LADA car plant in Izhevsk, developing Russian technical competence and producing a truly Russian electric car. We plan to produce a trial batch of the e-Largus in Izhevsk in 2023,” said Maxim Sokolov, president of the domestic auto giant.
