NVIDIA and Foxconn Team Up to Build Automated Electric Vehicles

OUR NVIDIA and Hong Hai Technology Group (foxconn) announces a strategic partnership to develop automated and autonomous transport platforms. As part of the agreement, Foxconn will become a manufacturer of NVIDIA DRIVE Orin™-based electronic control units (ECUs) for the global automotive market. Foxconn’s EVs will feature DRIVE Orin ECUs and NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion™ sensors for automated driving.

Partnership with Foxconn expands efforts to meet the growing needs of the segment

The partnership with Foxconn will enable NVIDIA to expand its efforts and meet growing industry demand as more and more leading transportation companies use DRIVE Orin for smart vehicles. In addition, when building electric vehicles with qualified sensor arrays CONTROL HyperionFoxconn will accelerate its go-to-market and production strategy.

System-on-a-chip technology NVIDIA DRIVE Orin it supports up to 254 trillion operations per second and is designed to handle a large number of applications and deep neural networks running simultaneously in self-driving cars. NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion is a modular development platform and reference architecture for developing autonomous vehicles. Together, they act as the vehicle’s brain and central nervous system, processing vast amounts of real-time sensor data so that autonomous vehicles can sense, plan and act safely.
