The British company Dyson, a manufacturer of household appliances, once announced that it plans to market its own electric car. However, Lord Dyson failed to do so. In any case, more information about this project did not appear on the Internet. But what the British failed to do was easily and naturally implemented by the Chinese.

Can a telephone company build a car? As practice shows, so far – no. At the very least, Apple was unable to cope with this ambitious task. But this does not mean that it is so difficult and impossible. The experience of the Chinese manufacturer of mobile phones and other household appliances suggests otherwise. Xiaomi broke the stereotypes that the development of an electric car is very long, difficult and expensive. In any case, the Chinese managed to complete their five-year plan in just two years.

Illegal test footage of an electric sedan with the working title Modena has surfaced online. Judging by the information available on the AvtoVzglyad portal, Modena is considered a kind of competitor to the Tesla Model 3 sedan. At least in terms of car saturation with information technology and autonomous driving capabilities. The basic version of the machine will be equipped with Blade iron phosphate batteries developed by BYD, which are characterized by their insensitivity to low temperatures. In the future, it is planned to use a Qilin battery from CATL. It offers the ability to quickly charge up to 80% capacity in just 15 minutes.

Sales of Modena should start as early as 2024. And in 2025, Xiaomi promises to launch its second electric car. Since it has the working title of Le Mans, we should most likely be talking about some kind of sports car. In the first phase, Xiaomi plans to produce 150,000 cars.
