From January 11, 2023, new high fines await the driver’s brotherhood: from this date, the new rules for issuing “letters of happiness” with photo and video recording complexes will come into force. The AvtoVzglyad portal talks about how this threatens car owners.

We are talking about the fact that from January 11, according to Art. 8.2 of the Code of Administrative Violations “Failure to comply with environmental protection requirements when handling production and consumption waste”, drivers are also fined using automatic fixation complexes.

Recall that since July 14, 2022 in Russia “enhanced” penalties have been introduced for motorists for throwing garbage out of the car. A citizen for this was fined 10,000-30,000 rubles. And if a person is caught unloading garbage from a truck, and not for the first time, then he will be fined up to 200,000 rubles.

Until now, only police officers or Goslesnadzor inspectors who “caught” the car owner personally at the crime scene had the right to draw up protocols for such violations. And from January 11, sufficient materials from the automatic fixation complex will be available for this. We also note that the current level of development of the software of the traffic police cameras makes it possible to detect even a pack of cigarettes thrown out of the car along the way. This opens up ample possibilities for the authorities to punish drivers under a completely new article of the Code of Administrative Offenses for them.
