Changes to the Code of Administrative Violations are not yet in effect, allowing fines for a cigarette butt thrown from a car using cameras, and authorities are already reporting on technical preparedness for this. The AvtoVzglyad portal tells how things are going in the capital in this sense.

– Changes in the capital’s legislation are not required. Technically, Moscow is ready to implement innovations. I would like to note that our video surveillance system can be used to record violations and we have all the necessary infrastructure for this,” said Alexei Shaposhnikov, Chairman of the State Duma of the City of Moscow.

Recall that on January 11, a rule will come into force that allows you to punish car owners in automatic mode for dumping garbage from vehicles. Previously, changes were made to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which greatly increased the number of sanctions for such violations. For individuals, this is subject to a fine of 10,000-15,000 rubles. Repeated such misconduct will result in a double penalty. Well, if a citizen dumps garbage from trucks, and not for the first time, he will already have to give up 200,000 rubles. The initiators of these short stories were the Moscow City Duma and the Moscow Regional Duma, reports RIA Novosti.
