The most popular among our compatriots are B and C class cars, as well as crossovers and SUVs. These segments will account for slightly less than 80% of used vehicle sales in 2022. Portal “AutoVzglyad” selected the most popular of them.

This data was shared with the AvtoVzglyad portal by the analysts of the Avito Avto site. For example, the domestic LADA Priora leads in the B segment with an indicator of 11.8%, the average price of which is set at about 250,000 rubles. Second place went to LADA 2114 Samara with a turnover share equal to 9.2%, and third place went to LADA Granta (9%).

As for C-class cars, according to the results of 2022, the American Ford Focus won the palm, claiming just over 8% of the market share in the segment. The average check for the model was 445,000 rubles. The second line was taken by LADA 2107 with a result of 7.3%, and the top 3 in the class is topped by the timeless LADA 2110 with a sales share of 6.4%.

In the sector of crossovers and SUVs, LADA 4×4 became the absolute leader, taking 7.9% of the market. The model is bought on average for 230,000 in the strengthened Russian currency. The second position was secured by Chevrolet Niva (4.8%), and the third – by the Korean SUV Kia Sportage (3.4%).

Finally, class D was suppressed by the German Volkswagen Passat, whose share of sales in the segment was 11.5% and the average cost was 300,000 rubles. This is followed by the Bavarian BMW 3-series sedan with a percentage of 7.1% and the Japanese Mazda 6, which managed to bite off 6.3%.

Meanwhile, the demand for used foreign cars with an average price of 2,000,000 rubles is actively growing. The Japanese Toyota Camry turned out to be the undisputed sales leader in this price range, with almost 6% of the total sales volume. The second most popular crossover was the Toyota RAV4 crossover, with the Kia Sportage closing out the top three.

A much more curious arrangement in the used car segment for 1,500,000 rubles. The Avtogazlyad portal found out which cars the Russians buy and meet the allocated budget.
