The all-electric configuration of the car is the most expensive in the lineup and has a 204 horsepower engine with a 64.8 kWh battery, which translates into 407 km of autonomy. One of the great new features of the version is fast charging, which can restore up to 80% of energy in just 45 minutes.
The hybrid model has a 106-horsepower 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 45-horsepower electric one. The transmission is a dual-clutch automatic with six speeds, one less than the Kia Stonic, and front-wheel drive. This version is expected to travel 22.5 kilometers per litre. The plug-in hybrid uses the same power train with a more powerful electric unit and an 11.1kWh battery, taking about three hours to fully charge. Since it is not 100% electric, the range is only 53 km.
Kia Niro has increased in size compared to its predecessor and now has a wheelbase of 2.72 m. At the same time, the boot volume has increased to 451 liters.
