According to the AvtoVzglyad portal, Dmitry Kostromin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of JSC AVTOVAZ, the updated LADA Vesta NG will enter series production at the beginning

According to the AvtoVzglyad portal, Dmitry Kostromin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of JSC AVTOVAZ, the updated LADA Vesta NG will enter series production at the beginning of spring. The flagship sedan comes on the market with an anti-lock braking system and other “buns”, but the CVT and Euro-5 engine appear later.

Despite the fact that Bosch actually has a monopoly on the world stage with its ABS, the new LADA Vesta gets an anti-lock braking system from an alternative supplier from China.

“In the coming weeks we will tell you which equipment Vesta will be bringing to market. Unfortunately, one cannot ignore the sanctions and the shortage of microchips, so at the initial stage the car will not have a multimedia complex, the so-called tablet, but airbags and ABS in the base. The tests have been successfully passed, the system has fully proven its reliability and suitability of resources,” Dmitry Kostromin told AvtoVzglyad.

The first cars to roll off the assembly line in Tolyatti, where Vesta production was moved from Izhevsk for economic reasons, will be available exclusively with a manual transmission.

However, according to the top manager, “the model line will later be supplemented with modifications with a CVT and a Euro-5 engine.” How, in fact, sedans and a multimedia tablet are purchased, but in the foreseeable future: “after agreements have been reached with local manufacturers and potential partners from friendly countries.”
