AvtoVAZ tries, the Chinese do it and the authorities imitate: the results of the week

How will AVTOVAZ and Chery please us in the near future? Are there any prospects in Russia for the new Chinese brand Kaiyi and the pseudo-household Evolute? How do the authorities intend to overcome the shortage of spare parts and improve the condition of the roads? The AvtoVzglyad portal answers these and other questions in a video overview of the most important automotive events of the past week.

AVTOVAZ plans to introduce several promising new products in the near future. First, the LADA line-up will be complemented by a family designed to replace the XRAY: it will include a saloon, station wagon and some kind of cross version – likely a raised hatchback. Second, we see a full-read, all-wheel drive crossover. But when is all this going to happen?

And on the subject of domestic manufacturers, the news is that five more electric trains will be rolled out by Evolute before the end of this year. Recall that today this brand offers two models – the i-Pro sedan and the i-Joy crossover. So, already in April, official dealers will open the acceptance of orders for the i-Jet and i-Sky SUVs, in June – for the i-Van minivan. Two other electric vehicles will appear in the second half of the year. There are many launches, but who needs them, “green”?

In this sense, the appearance in Russia of a new Chinese brand Kaiyi seems more interesting. Production of the first model, the E5 sedan, has already started at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. The official website was also launched, allowing us to learn more about the next three cars. By the way, Kaiyi is Chery’s “daughter”, who is also preparing a surprise for us.

The Chinese from Chery certified a new sedan in Russia – just in case, under two brands (actually Chery and Omoda) and with four names: Arrizo 5 Pro, Arrizo 6, Omoda S5 and simply S5. It is clear that they have not yet decided on a name for their new product. It follows from OTTS that the model for our country will have a 113 hp engine and a variator. Equipment, apparently, will be quite rich. The only question that remains is the price.

Meanwhile, insurers have analyzed repair statistics and identified the brands of cars for which it is most difficult to find spare parts. According to representatives of the company Soglasie – the same company that conducted the market research – the situation with parts in Russia remains difficult. Many positions are not available: they have to be ordered and wait up to two months, and for some details even longer.

Rosavtodor also decided to conduct a study – “practices of application” of cold recycling technology. for what? To scale it across the country and ultimately start saving significantly on road repairs. And in more detail about what this recycling is and why nothing good can be expected from the spread of the practice, we tell in the video review of the main events of the outgoing week, which can be viewed here.
