If at the beginning of last year 82% of the cars of the total market of new passenger cars were produced in Neobyatnaya, now this figure has fallen to 61%. Of course, the ratio of domestic and foreign brands in this context was different: Russian brands accounted for 20%, foreign brands for 62%. But due to the deepening Ukrainian conflict, many manufacturers have shut down or even resold their businesses. And now we have what we have.
Someone may have a question, where did the 20% of local “foreigners” come from, if everyone left. We explain. Firstly, the Tula factory Haval did not stop working. Secondly, the “multi-brand” giants have already managed to reorganize – Avtotor in particular. The Kaliningrad enterprise, we recall, “cooperated” with the Chinese and even became a distributor of the Kaiyi brand. Thirdly, the former Renault factory, which has become Moskvich, now plays for another team and new players such as Evolute have appeared. They may be few, but they make their contribution.
In terms of imports, the share – it’s easy to calculate – has grown from 18% to 39%. But, of course, not all this volume is provided by “gray” stocks. “Parallel” machines accounted for only 8% of all machines sold in January. The rest – namely 31% – are cars that entered through “official” channels. That’s Chery, Geely, Changan and others like them.
