The law takes on a new art. 30.1 entitled “The passage of lorries for international road transport”. According to her, from September 1, 2023, the passage of trucks through any point of the state border of the Russian Federation will be carried out only by means of an electronic queue. That is by appointment.
The novella leaves it to the government to develop rules for the formation of this queue. Among them is a list of documents necessary to reserve a place in it, the procedure for their submission, the organization of control over crossing the state border, a list of cases when a truck can do this on an extraordinary basis, and other nuances. In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers will be given the right to develop requirements for parking spaces near checkpoints, as well as for technical means ensuring the operation of the electronic queue and the border crossings themselves.
