Prices for brand new cars continue to rise, but instead of supporting citizens in such a difficult time, the authorities, on the contrary, change the rules of state programs for preferential car loans and stop giving discounts for cars with internal combustion engines. All hopes are focused on the affordable “Chinese”, “Iranians” and “our brands”, who can bring back ABS and eco-friendly engines in the near future. And more about the most important news of the outgoing week – in the video overview of the AvtoVzglyad portal.
Analysts studied the Russian new car market and found out that by the end of 2022 passenger cars have increased in price by 20%. The average cost of cars in car dealerships reached 2,380,000 rubles. We have seen such sharp jumps twice in recent years: in 2015, when the average price increased by 20%, and in 2021, when the price increased by 18%. The rest of the time it was no more than 10% per year.
Many Russians would certainly have been helped by state programs for preferential car loans, but dealers of the brands participating in the project no longer give discounts on the purchase of cars with gasoline engines. Officially, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has not announced the end of the action of unprecedented generosity. Yes, it did not end, according to what car dealership representatives say. The money was simply redistributed and from now on only those who buy electric vehicles from Evolute can get a discount.
By the way, about the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The agency said deliveries to Russia of low-cost Iranian cars – the ones many experts have pinned great hopes on – are impossible. Why? Because one of the mandatory conditions for the sale and operation of imported cars in our country is certification, and the “Iranians” have not yet passed it.
China so. The fact that a new car brand from the Celestial Empire Kaiyi has come to Russia has been previously told by the AvtoVzglyad portal. Sales of the first model, the E5 budget sedan, have not yet started. The prices are still unknown. But representatives of the brand revealed plans to form a dealer network. So, initially it will be possible to purchase an affordable four-door from China in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
And if you have the desire and financial capabilities to take something “cooler”, then you can take a closer look at the Tank 300 SUV, the first sign of the Great Wall sub-brand. Orders for a car with a 220 hp turbo engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive are already being accepted: not through dealers, but through a mobile application. There are two trim levels to choose from: Adventure for 3.7 million rubles and Premium for 4 million.
“Chinese” can not afford? You can wait for LADA cars with anti-lock braking system ABS. They will appear, as AvtoVAZ representatives said, before the end of this year. Now it is almost certain, because from November 1, car manufacturers may be prohibited from producing “simplified” cars.
