An interesting study was carried out by specialized experts who discovered how relevant the availability of personal parking spaces is for the capital’s motorists. Admittedly, the results were quite unexpected.

As the Domclick analytical center told the AvtoVzglyad portal, the lion’s share of Moscow car owners park their cars spontaneously. In other words, 75% of the 1300 people who took part in the survey throw cars wherever they can.

At the same time, 47% of respondents admit that they often do not find free parking spaces and 31% emphasize that they do not know where to park their car on almost every journey. That is not surprising, however: the city council has introduced paid parking almost everywhere in the city, without additional parking spaces. By the way, according to the survey results, only 6% of motorists never encounter parking problems.

Almost half of Muscovites spend about five minutes looking for a free place, 47% – up to 15 minutes, 2% – about half an hour. But residents of the Mother See are not planning to acquire parking spaces en masse. Only every eighth car owner is willing to buy a personal parking space.
