However, a White House spokesman said that Tesla already has a “hardware and software solution” that complies with the CCS standard and may qualify for government funding to upgrade its charger network.

Biden’s bold project

Several companies, including automotive giants such as General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and Ford, have pledged to expand the electric vehicle charging network in the United States through the Department of Defense’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program.
