But with this, as the head of the traffic police Mikhail Chernikov once rightly pointed out, the signs warning drivers about approaching the complex do an excellent job. Why didn’t they get away with it?
The answer is obvious: Signs, unlike cameras, “don’t cut corners.” And in the suburbs motorists are scammed how! At the end of 2022, the Moscow region ranked second (after the capital) in the ranking of regions in the number of resolutions issued. For 12 months, 31.3 million fines were handed out there (3.9% more than in 2021) for 19 billion rubles (+5.5%). In addition, in about 90% of cases, the data of the complexes became the basis for punishing drivers.
