Mercedes-AMG is preparing to premiere the sporty version of the new C-Class, which debuted just over a year ago. On the eve of the debut of the hot sedan, the division released a short video teaser, which shows only a slightly modified part of the front end. It is expected that the novelty will receive the C 43 index and will enter the market with a two-liter “turbo four”, which will be part of the hybrid power plant – a hint of this was seen in a fresh teaser.

Judging by the teaser, the C-Class from AMG will get a slightly corrected front bumper and signature Panamericana grille with vertical slats. Spy shots of the prototype show more developed side skirts and a diffuser between a pair of twin tailpipes.

Interestingly, the video has the ability to turn on the sound, but the audio track is empty. Motor1 saw this as a nod to a gasoline-electric propulsion system, with which the C 43 would be able to move purely on electric power for a short time. This is confirmed by the fact that back in 2019, Mercedes-Benz promised to electrify new charged models through the EQ Power + hybrid unit.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 will replace the three-liter V6 with a derated two-liter M139 turbo four, which develops up to 421 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque on the CLA 45 S. In a pair, she was tipped off with an electric module of yet unknown return.

Later, the top variant from AMG, the C 63, will also see the light. It will get rid of the four-liter V8 in favor of the same four-cylinder engine for hard economy, but the powerful sports sedan will get an electric motor on the rear axle, with which the total return can exceed 600 forces.
