The start of production of LADA Vesta NG has been given, but the plan for the next two months is to fill dealers, and therefore sales will not start until May. The auto giant publishes price lists in April: now even the approximate price tag of the flagship is not mentioned, because, according to the president of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov, it will depend, among other things, on the exchange rate, which affects the cost of parts purchased from foreign suppliers.

He also noted that the price should become affordable and negotiable, but at the same time beneficial to all participants – that is, the manufacturer and the dealer. By the way, about dealer markups: as Mr. Sokolov said, car dealers will focus on the price offered by the factory. It’s precise to navigate – in other words, no one is going to force them to adhere to the RRP. And, in fairness, it can’t oblige.

So far, AVTOVAZ has launched production of only the junior modification LADA Vesta NG – with an 8-valve engine and a manual transmission. Versions with a “sixteen-valve” will be produced in May, but there is no mention of a 1.8-liter engine yet. According to Maxim Sokolov, AvtoVAZ is very interested in his return to the gamut, but it is difficult to name dates. As for the two-pedal West, which will appear in 2024.

We add that the Volga residents also revealed the localization level of LADA Vesta NG. It depends on the configuration: the richer the version, the more foreign components. However, the degree is quite high – about 80%.
