As the AvtoVzglyad portal was told by its own sources, representatives of Iranian car companies recently came to the AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti – naturally, to discuss issues of possible cooperation. Perhaps it was about component production. Although, in light of recent events, another option cannot be ruled out – that the Iranians intend to settle in the facilities of the domestic auto giant.

Recently, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Moscow, Kazem Jalali, said that the Iranians would export cars to Russia, but the possibility of localizing production with the support of domestic car makers is also being considered. Now it has become known that the Persians recently came to AVTOVAZ: there is a high probability that it was right to discuss options for the joint assembly of their cars.

And since the fate of the Izhevsk LADA plant, which lost Vesta, who was moved to Togliatti, raised questions, it can be assumed that it is in Udmurtia that Iranian cars will “register”. In addition, do not forget that the Volga residents got the Nissan plant that left Russia. It is already known that AVTOVAZ will launch there the production of a completely new model, designed to replace the forgotten XRAY. But what if they award a corner to the Iranians in St. Petersburg?

Recall that earlier the portal “AvtoVzglyad” wrote that Saipa’s headquarters had already conducted negotiations with the company “Sollers” – about the possible assembly of its cars in Yelabuga. At that time, our source even mentioned the approximate date for the launch of the production of cars on the old French “carts” in Tatarstan – the end of 2023. But it seems that the Iranians have not yet made a full decision on a partner, since they also discuss something with AVTOVAZ.
