China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released official photos and specifications of the first model of Geely’s premium sub-brand, the Galaxy L7 crossover. The AvtoVzglyad portal got acquainted with the data of the new SUV.

Geely Galaxy L7 belongs to the class of plug-in hybrids. The dimensions are 4700x1905x1685 mm. Wheelbase – 2785mm. The curb weight of the crossover is 1860 kg. In other words, the car has become a classmate of crossovers such as Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4, for example. There are options for all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive transmissions.

In the basic version with front-wheel drive, the power source, consisting of an electric and petrol engine, delivers a total of 390 hp. Of. In the four-wheel drive version, another electric motor is added – for the rear wheels. In the latter case, the manufacturer speaks of the power-to-weight ratio at the level of 660 “horses”.

The maximum speed of the Galaxy L7 is around 200 km/h. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. As many as four large displays were placed in the crossover cabin: a dashboard with a diagonal of 10.25 inches, a small screen for operating functions and options under the driver’s right hand (13.2 inches), a screen for the front passenger with a diagonal of 16.2 inches and a hefty 25.6 inch monitor on top of the center console!

The “brain” of the machine is represented by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor with the new Galaxy N-OS operating system. The official debut of the L7 will take place in April at the Shanghai Auto Show. The price in China starts at 200,000 yuan – about 2.2 million rubles. Note that the likelihood of Galaxy brand cars appearing on the Russian market is more than high. Because nothing prevents Geely from following the path of Chery in this sense, which is actively “spamming” the domestic market with its Exeed, Omoda, Kaiyi and Jetour.

In addition, plans to release other Galaxy models were announced. In the second quarter of this year, the Chinese plan to introduce the Galaxy E7 electric car. In the third quarter of 2023 – Galaxy L6 plug-in hybrid. The “electric train” (Galaxy E6) based on it is not expected for another year. The Galaxy E8 electric car will be launched at the end of this year. In 2024, Geely plans to launch the Galaxy L5 PHEV hybrid and the Galaxy E7 electric car. And finally, another PHEV, the Galaxy L9, is scheduled to hit the market in 2025.
