KamAZ showed a mysterious long wheelbase truck

It seems that this is very common news: a large customer from Uzbekistan has bought a batch of KamAZ-6520-1771-PN dump trucks. But connoisseurs will probably be surprised: there has never been such a model in the truck giant’s range. The AvtoVzglyad portal found out what kind of car it was.

An unusual truck stands out among its brethren with an elongated wheelbase and an oval-shaped dump platform. Under the cabin is a gas engine with a return of 360 forces, with which a 16-speed “mechanics” is coupled. With its own payload of 20 tons, a dump truck can pull a trailer, so the total mass of such a roadtrain is no less than 60 tons.

The Uzbek factory UzAuto TRAILER assembles unusual cars, so we have in front of us a Central Asian exoticist, who, most likely, will never appear on the roads of Russia. And even if it seems, our carriers are unlikely to want to buy a 60-ton trailer hitch, “pulled” by just a 360 hp engine.

And one more piece of news about the domestic car giant. In 2019, KamAZ launched a universal line, from which fuel tanks for new generations of K4 and K5 tractors began to unroll. Now that the factory is forced to pause the production of these new products, another application had to be found for this production.
