Images of the new Geely Haoyue L crossover for our market have appeared in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), which by the time the official launch of sales will most likely change the factory designation to something more harmonious.

It is worth noting that the car is sold in a number of markets, including under the name Okavango. And once Geely representatives mentioned the possibility of bringing this model to Russia. Apparently they didn’t cheat.

In length, the crossover is stretched to 4860 mm, the interior – depending on the configuration – is designed for five or seven seats. At the same time, the rear passengers have a separate control interface for the infotainment complex.

Torpedo is represented by a pair of interactive multi-color screens with a diagonal of 10.25 and 12.3 inches, a feature “touch” console that has an incredible number of comfort and safety options built into it. But which of them will be activated for the Russian consumer is still unknown.

As for the technical filling, a four-cylinder 2-liter petrol engine developed by Volvo specialists is installed under the hood of a large Geely. At its peak, the engine delivers 325 Nm of torque and 218 hp. The engine is joined by a seven-speed dual-clutch pre-selection, but the drivetrain is unfortunately forward-only.

When the novelty will go on sale is another question, because with a delay of almost a year, the Chinese brought us the all-wheel drive Geely Monjaro, which was just beginning to appear in dealerships. Let’s say more: patent images do not at all guarantee that a car will ever be presented to us.

However, if you wish, you can order a crossover yourself – parallel import will do its job. On car flea markets on the Internet, Okavango is already for sale in various versions. True, you will have to forget about the manufacturer’s warranty for a crossover imported through gray routes.
