The deputy head of the Russian Security Council spoke about the selling prices of the Moskvich electric car. According to the AvtoVzglyad portal, the ex-President of the Russian Federation considered the price of 3.5 million rubles too high.

– About “Moskvich”. I don’t know what’s happening, the price looks really high. True, I have a Volga and a Pobeda, they are on the right track, they are from the late fifties – early sixties. And of course there is also the state machine. Let’s wait and see, if something good is created, well, great, – this is how Medvedev answered the question of whether he would buy this electric car.

Recall that now at the production site of the Moskvich plant in Moscow, a front-wheel drive crossover with an internal combustion engine Moskvich 3 and an electric car Moskvich 3e are being assembled from Chinese car kits. The first is sold at a price of 1.97 million rubles, and the second costs from 3.5 million rubles. It is known about the company’s plans to start production of another crossover and sedan.

Note that the lion’s share of the price of an electric car comes from the battery, which also comes from China. If the company implements plans to install a Russian-made traction battery on its electric car, the sales price of Moskvich 3e could drop dramatically.
