According to chairman Valery Barchenko, car parts (including original ones) are mainly produced in Thailand for cars of Japanese brands that have ceased their activities in Russia.
“Now we are working with Thai manufacturers of auto parts that are analogous or compatible with original equipment,” Barchenko told RIA Novosti.
According to him, the Thai Ministry of Commerce organized online negotiations with Russian colleagues. An unnamed large Russian distributor of auto parts for foreign cars took part in it.
Note that working with Thai suppliers of “original” cars for Japanese brands can only make sense if the selling prices for their products on the Russian market turn out to be significantly lower than those developed at the moment.
