The AvtoVzglyad portal found out whether the purchasing department managed to attract enough components to start production.
Unfortunately, according to sources, it was not possible to significantly replenish the stocks of components (especially for scarce positions). Friday 29 April is therefore already a rest day for many departments. However, before the start of the May Day weekend, AVTOVAZ planned to produce 5453 cars of different models – this is a very good result.
Meanwhile, the current week could bring a lot of fateful news for the car factory. There is a good chance that the French Renault will finally announce its plans for further participation in AVTOVAZ’s equity.
Rumors are extremely contradictory. Some sources say the Chinese will become the new owners of the French share (even mentioning the Great Wall company), while others assure that the alliance will only transfer its share to a temporary manager.
The Swedish SKF acted under the third scenario, handing over the Russian bearing production site to a team of Russian managers. We’re not hinting at anything, but such a “rolling” is more of a formality than an actual exit from the company.
