In 2021, a decrease in the number of “drunken” accidents by the same 8% was recorded. So we can hope that 2023 will also show a similar trend in the reduction of “alcohol accidents” – if no new significant disasters occur neither in Russia nor in the world. Although, as we can see, even an event like the CBO cannot affect the “eight percent” trend of reducing the number of “drunk” crashes.

We add that the number of citizens caught driving under the influence is also falling. For 2022, the traffic police counted 535,000 such cases, which is 2.4% less than a year earlier. In addition, the number of drivers who refused a medical examination fell by 2.9% to 171,600 drivers.
