According to representatives of Exeed’s Russian agency, proper names suit cars better than vague abbreviations. And certainly in the case of the brand’s new flagship, whose current name for our country will evoke clear associations among consumers with the fairly popular Lexus model.
However, the Chinese side thinks it is right to stick to the naming policy once chosen. In addition, they are confident in the Celestial Empire that in the coming years they will forget about Japanese cars in Russia, and the Chinese themselves will no longer let competitors in here, having tightly plotted the market.
Speaking of competitors. When creating the Exeed RX, the manufacturer focused on the standards of Mercedes-Benz, therefore it is the German crossovers that will become the “target” and the main rivals of the novelty.
The Exeed RX is based on the modular M3X 2.0 platform: the vehicle is 4781 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2815 mm. Russian buyers are offered a two-liter engine tuned to 249 horsepower. Of. (in China – 261 hp), seven-speed “robot” with all-wheel drive.
And if there is one change, then there are two configurations. Exeed RX will surprise you with a rather rich equipment, which includes, among other things, an air ionization and aromatization system (three flavors), a panoramic roof, a massage function for the driver and front passenger, as well as a circular sight . .. 540 degrees – the cameras also show what is happening under the machine.
As for the start of official sales, dealers will start accepting orders for Exeed RX in the summer. However, it is still too early to talk about prices – they will depend very much on the financial situation in the market, which is now highly ambiguous and volatile due to the banking crisis in the United States.
