Chinese “photo spies” caught in the camera lenses an export version of the Chery T1EJ crossover, which will be called the Jaecoo 7. It is believed that this car will also be delivered to Russia – as a model of the Omoda brand, which is gaining momentum in our country.
For the first time, the mysterious crossover in November last year attracted the attention of “photo spies”, but then it was not entirely clear what kind of version it was. Now the answer to the question has been found – this is what Chery T1EJ will look like for foreign markets. Of the differences – a slightly modified grille, an upturned front bumper and the presence of fog lights.
As for the interior, the Jaecoo 7 gets a huge multimedia complex touchpad, a digital instrument panel and a powerful gear lever. But the new steering wheel is traditional for Chery.
Interestingly, the Jaecoo family was mentioned at a recent media conference held by Omoda in Kazakhstan. And although brand representatives talked about it as a separate line, according to our colleagues from Chinese Automobiles, both in Kazakhstan and Russia, Jaecoo will become part of Omoda. It has not been officially confirmed yet, but the chances are very high.
It only remains to add that Chery T1EJ will not go on sale in China until July-August. So it is not worth waiting for Jaecoo 7 in Russia in the coming months.
