As early as mid-April, Russian FAW dealers will place orders for two new products: the B70 liftback and the Bestune T55 crossover. And this, as the company representatives promised, will not limit the expansion of the model line: the Chinese plan to release several more cars.
In a few weeks, the FAW brand range, which today only includes the Bestune T77 crossover, will be supplemented with another SUV and a liftback. The first will take the place of the Besturn X40 that said goodbye to Russia – it is slightly more compact than the T77: the dimensions of the Bestune T55 are 4437/1850/1625 mm, and the wheelbase is 2650 mm. The engine is a 124-horsepower 1.5-liter “turbo”, the gearbox is a seven-speed “robot”, the drive is in the front.
As for the B70, this is a D-class liftback. Dimensions: 4810/1840/1455 mm with a wheelbase of 2800 mm (it is smaller in size, for example, Kia K5 and Hyundai Sonata). There are two engines in the line-up: a 1.5-liter with 124 hp and a two-liter with 160 hp. with., also boxes – a six-speed “automatic” Aisin and a seven-band “robot”. But only the front wheels can be driven.
And although the start of sales of the FAW B70 and Bestune T55 is scheduled for April, the company’s representatives have not even announced approximate prices yet. Since the Bestune T77 is now asking for 2,169,000 rubles, we can assume that the T55 fits into the “two”. But how it will be for sure, we’ll find out later – when the Chinese publish full descriptions of the complete sets of models aimed at our market.
