In May, two new models from the Kama Automobile Plant will enter the market – Compass 5 with a gross weight of up to 3.5 tons and Compass 6 – up to 5.6 tons. Production is located in the former company Daimler Kamaz Rus, renamed Trucks Vostok Rus. With details – the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.
Both cars are “copy-pastes” of Chinese JACs, although many of the car parts used in production are made by Russian specialists.
According to the Russian telegram channel Automobile, both models will be equipped with 2.2-liter diesel engines, likely made in China. The engines are capable of developing up to 122 torques and 320 Nm of thrust, and mechanical “five steps” are called upon to guide them.
Over time, however, the power range may change. In any case, representatives of Trucks Vostok Rus do not rule this out. Pricing and specs will be announced closer to launch.
