The so-called interesting times in the domestic lubricants market are in full swing: due to Western sanctions, the usual leading brands are losing their positions. The AvtoVzglyad portal predicts relatively quick access to the “tops” of sales among imported oils of brands previously known only to industry experts.

Russian motorists first experienced the consequences of problems with the supply of motor oil to our country a year ago. Then some lubricants immediately and sharply rose in price, and some simply disappeared from the shelves and counters of stores. Since then, suppliers have more or less arranged for the supply of household outlets with the necessary lubricants. At the same time, some car owners have partially reoriented themselves from motor oil brands that have become unbearably expensive to more budgetary and affordable brands – for example, from Russian brands.

And those who are not confident in the quality and characteristics of domestic products, in spite of everything, prefer to use imported liquids. There are many such citizens among domestic car owners. It is on them that suppliers and importers of oils new to the Russian market rely – mainly Turkish, Korean and Chinese. There are even oils of brands exotic to Russia that operate on the territory of the Persian Gulf states.

All these “foreign oil companies” believed they had a good chance to “bite off a piece of the pie” from the Russian automotive lubricants market, which is undergoing serious reform. And for Russian car owners, this massive influx of foreign oils means the opportunity to choose something that is most suitable for their cars in terms of price / quality ratio from a wide range.

The hosts of the new edition of the podcast of the AvtoVzglyad portal, which you can listen to, talk about the current state of the “oil” part of the domestic market for car care products, as well as its immediate prospects Here.
