As you might guess, the Omoda S5 sedan opens the list of announced premieres – by the way, the prices and specifications of the model have already been made public. The first batch of cars will appear at dealers in May.
In July, the S5 line-up will be supplemented by a GT version with aggressive design elements, a different interior design and a more powerful petrol engine.
In addition, two crossovers will be launched under the independent brand Jaecoo, which will be sold both through Omoda dealers and in their own showrooms. Cars for Russia were called J7 and J9.
“The first homologated cars have already arrived in Russia and now we are starting the process of their certification. The first model, the crossover Jaecoo J7, is preparing to go on sale in September, but pre-orders will open in August and it will be possible to reserve a car online. The second novelty – the Jaecoo J9 crossover – will go to dealers at the end of 2023. And this is never Chery Tiggo 9, as many people thought for some reason, but a completely different car. I will add that Jaecoo is a global brand and we are now working on a marketing strategy, selecting ambassadors and working hard to prepare for the launch,” said in an interview with AvtoVzglyad portal.Head of the Omoda brand in Russia Victor Naschansky.
And the parade of premieres in 2023 will be completed by the first electric car of the Omoda brand, the crossover Omoda C5 EV, sales of which in the Russian market are scheduled for October-November.
