Binance’s Turkey division warned investors about the spread of false advertisements on street billboards in the area.

“Recently, billboards similar to the picture below have been popping up in different regions of Turkey,” Binance TR wrote.

A photo of one of the billboards has been attached to the post: it includes the exchange’s logo, phone numbers with Turkish codes, tags for popular cryptocurrencies, and Arabic text.

The company stressed that the information on the boards “has nothing to do with Binance.” The trading platform aims to take action against individuals “openly involved in fraudulent activities”.

The company launched the Binance TR section in 2020. Then the CEO of the company, Changpeng Zhao, described Turkey as one of the leading countries in terms of the dynamics of the implementation of blockchain solutions and a key market for the global economy.

In April 2022, the local branch announced the opening of a customer service center.

Recall that in the same month, Coinbase’s plans to adopt the Turkey-based BtcTurk cryptocurrency trading platform were learned.
