Elon Musk supported the European Union on the Digital Services Act (DSA). The businessman announced this in a video released by EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton.

“I think this is fully aligned with the future goals of the Twitter platform,” Musk said.

According to him, the initiatives proposed in the DSA “will be beneficial for Europe.”

“I think I agree with everything you said. […]. We are on the same wavelength,” the billionaire added.

Musk’s vision for the future of the social network largely aligns with the bill. Earlier, the businessman offered to open source content recommendation algorithms on Twitter. A similar requirement for transparency is included in the bill.

But data privacy experts believe such a move won’t solve Twitter’s problems.

Recall that in April, the European Union reached an agreement on the adoption of a law aimed at increasing the responsibility of tech giants in the matters of recommendation algorithms and targeted advertising.

That same month, Twitter management decided to sell the social network to Elon Musk for $44 billion.
