Staking platform Everstake donated $10 million in crypto for the needs of the Ukrainian military and recorded a rap with Mikhail Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Digital Development. This was reported to ForkLog by company representatives.
Of this amount, $3.4 million was donated by Everstake’s co-founders Sergey Vasilchuk and Yevgeny Seifert to the Aid For Ukraine relief fund, which purchased first aid kits, dry rations and bulletproof vests for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Since its launch, the venture has raised over $60 million.
Another $6.6 million Everstake was distributed among other voluntary organizations, notably the initiative of the Kyiv School of Economics charity, YeYa team, Everaidua, Tata Kepler, Peoplesproject.com, Palianytsia.org, Eyes of Army and Solomiya Bobrovskaya . . The funds will be used to help refugees, as well as buy thermal cameras, armored vehicles and drones.
According to Everstake CEO and co-founder Sergey Vasilchuk, cryptocurrencies are suitable because they “have no bureaucratic hurdles.”
Everstake urged the crypto community to continue helping the Aid for Ukraine fund. To do this, they recorded a rap with the participation of the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov.
“Even though it is the most important thing to humanity, people rarely think of the world as an investment. We are confident that the world is worth investing in,” added Ilya Anufrienko, director of creative agency Bickerstaff.734, which was involved in the creation of the video.
Recall that at the end of April, Everstake, together with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, launched the Save Ukraine Culture charity initiative to raise funds to preserve the country’s cultural heritage.
