Anti-Russian sanctions will help allow trade between Russia and Thailand to grow at least threefold. This information was personally provided by the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov. The AvtoVzglyad portal found out how the Thai car industry can theoretically help the domestic industry.
According to Mr. Reshetnikov, Thailand has a very strong auto and parts industry. Therefore, products from the “Land of the White Elephants” can easily be useful to the Russian car industry, as many Western (and not only) manufacturers of components and parts refused to cooperate under pressure of sanctions.
Meanwhile, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association considers the Thai cluster to be the best among all countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Parts for cars of several dozen brands are leaving this country!
So theoretically, Thai factories can not only supply components for AvtoVAZ, GAZ and UAZ conveyor belts, but also ship components under the “parallel import” programs for equipment already traveling on the roads of Russia.
In general, lately, domestic officials and the media spend a lot of time organizing parallel imports of foreign cars and spare parts to Russia. The AvtoVzglyad portal tells why Russian car owners should not count on it.
