The Syscoin blockchain platform team has developed a Rollux layer 2 scaling solution based on Optimistic aggregation technology. ForkLog was told about this by their representatives.

“Rollux will provide projects running on the platform natively or over the bridge with the scaling solution they need to deliver Web 3.0 services,” the statement said.

According to the project roadmap, ZK-Rollups technology had to be used for the second level. However, it will take a few more years to reach the required level of maturity, according to the Syscoin team.

“Recently renewed interest in security and scalability issues has forced us to pay attention to this technology, although we strongly believe in ZK-Rollups,” said lead developer Jagdeep Sidhu.

According to Syscoin representatives, the Rollux solution will provide a direct equivalent to the EVM, which is not yet supported by Optimistic rollups on Ethereum.

The team decided to make Rollux Suite a non-commercial product for blockchain-based projects.

Recall that in January 2020, the developers launched the Syscoin Bridge protocol, which provides network compatibility with the Ethereum blockchain.
