CryptoPunks will develop the collectible brand. Yuga Labs acquired the intellectual rights to the serial tokens in March 2022.
Davis also stressed that under his leadership, the company will not promote tokens through “shit movie” ads or airdrops.
He was responsible for arranging the auction at Christie’s NFT’s Beeple, which sold for $69.3 million in 2021.
In June, Yuga Labs withdrew the smart contract that allowed it to issue an unlimited number of Bored Ape Yacht Club collectible tokens. Prior to that, the company launched the metaverse.
