Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has signed a multi-year deal with Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo. As part of the collaboration, the parties will issue a collection of non-tradable tokens exclusive to the Binance NFT platform.
According to the press release, the launch of the first collection is scheduled for the end of 2022. It is unknown what will happen to the NFTs. The company noted that these are “cult models” created together with the football player.
“[Роналду] His identity, talent and philanthropic work has amassed one of the most dedicated fan bases in the world. “We are excited to offer fans exclusive opportunities to interact with the idol and become a part of legendary sports history,” said Changpeng Zhao, Binance CEO.
Earlier, Ukrainian football club Shakhtar launched a collection of non-tradable tokens on Binance NFT. The proceeds will be used to provide humanitarian aid to people affected by Russia’s invasion of the country.
Recall that in June 2022, Binance became a partner of The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour.
