The culture-focused metaverse Kingdom has raised $3.6 million in a private funding round. This was reported to ForkLog by the submitted project.
According to the statement, Alameda Research, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Newman Capital, Liquid Lab Ventures and others have invested in the project. The funds will be used to build up the working capital of the company.
According to the team, The Kingdom will be an open world metaverse where users can interact, play and create content. The project will allow them to offer NFTs for sale or at various events by collaborating with global brands.
“Our aim is to create a social centre. […] Inspired by the never-ending bustle of Asian metropolises, Miraijuku is the first city to be discovered and opened in the Kingdom,” said project CEO Josh Kovak.
The team is meeting with various companies, cultural figures and NFT projects. The first partnership agreements are expected to be announced in the second quarter of 2022.
Based on the concept of kingdom Play to Win – Players and creators will be able to earn cryptocurrencies through in-game events. According to the technical documentation of the project, two tokens are provided – DIAMOND and KING.
The first can be used to buy land, build structures, upgrade characters, and obtain digital items. The latter is a governance token – in the future the project will be passed on to the community.
Recall that in March 2022, the Cross The Ages game metaverse closed a $12 million seed funding round.
