The cryptocurrency-friendly social network Reddit has announced the release of a limited set of avatars on the Polygon blockchain. Users will be able to purchase images “in the coming weeks”.

Images were created by artists from communities like r/Comics. Reddit noted that the goal of the initiative is to provide them with an opportunity to create and sell their work. Authors will receive funding minus fees, plus royalties from secondary sales.
