Grayscale Investments rebalanced its multi-asset crypto trusts in line with market conditions at the end of the second quarter.
As a result of the adjustment Digital Big Equity Fund Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Litecoin, Polkadot and Uniswap have been removed from the fund.
As of July 7, the trust basket was:
- Bitcoin (BTC) – 68.88%;
- Ethereum (ETH) – 25.22%;
- Cardano (ADA) – 2.71%;
- Solana (LEFT) – 2.23%;
- Avalanche (AVAX) – 0.96%.
The rebalancing of the DeFi Fund based on the CoinDesk DeFi Index benchmark resulted in its exclusion from the Yearn Finance (YFI) fund. As of June 6, the basket of trust assets included:
- Uniswap (UNI) – 56.35%;
- MakerDAO (MKR) – 13.49%;
- Aave (AAVE) – 12.44%;
- Curved DAO Symbol (CRV) – 7.48%;
- Ampere (AMP) – 5.52%;
- Compound (COMP) – 4.72%.
From the fund’s portfolio Smart Contract Platform Ex-EtheReum Fund (GSCPxE) raised the company Stellar Lumens (XLM). As a result, the following remained safe:
- Cardano (ADA) – 1.69%;
- Solana (LEFT) – 25.43%;
- Polkadot (DOT) – 13.90%;
- Avalanche (AVAX) – 10.87%;
- Polygon (MATIC) – 8.45%;
- Cosmos (ATOM) — 5.29%;
- Algorand (ALGO) – 4.37%.
Grayscale noted that no new tokens were added to any of the rebalanced investment vehicles – only the number of assets in them decreased.
The Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) remains the most popular among investors, with $13 billion in assets under management. The Digital Big Equity Fund is $188 million, the DeFi Fund is $3.27 million, and the GSCPxE is just over $1.7 million.
Recall that Grayscale relied on converting GBTC to spot bitcoin.ETFs. In March, CEO Michael Sonnenschein called it “the number one priority” for the firm.
At the end of June, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission rejected Grayscale’s application to convert the trust into an ETF. As Sonnenschein had previously promised, the company filed a lawsuit against the regulator.
