Kyiv law enforcement has identified four attackers who allegedly embezzled victims’ money under the guise of investing in mining farms.
According to the police, they have offered to invest in cryptocurrency mining, promising huge profits. After receiving money from the victims, they stopped communicating.
During the searches, law enforcement confiscated system units, video cards, motherboards and hard drives.
A criminal case was opened under part 3 of article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – mainly through large-scale fraud or illegal transactions using electronic computers.
In early July, Ukrainian law enforcement seized UAH 50 million and 830 kg of silver from those suspected of bitcoin fraud.
