We can’t hide it. We really like mini-PCs. compact computers that can be placed anywhere desk, office or living room (for home theater) while offering enough performance and connectivity for all kinds of computing tasks.
A good example of this is the MINISFORUM NUCXI7 and NUCXI5, which have just been introduced by a manufacturer that has extensive experience with this type of format. The one we are dealing with has a chassis 394 x 260 x 80 mmslightly larger, especially in height, than the average mini-PC, but still quite compact for inclusion in this group.
In turn, the MINISFORUM NUCXI7 is a real team for its size. It is powered by Intel’s ‘Tiger Lake’ series processor and specifically a Core i7-11800H 8 cores and 16 threads of native processing. The graphics part is not left behind, because in addition to the integrated Intel, it is also equipped with a dedicated one NVIDIA RTX 3070. is the version mobile of those that are installed in laptops and not desktops for obvious reasons of size, but still offer very good potential.

The rest of the main components are up to the task and this device has two SODIMM slots that can accommodate up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 memory. Internal storage capacity is also ensured by two M.2 2280 slots for dual PCIe SSDs.
Regarding connectivity, we can highlight the following:
- 1 HDMI port.
- 1 Thunderbolt 4 port.
- 3 USB 3.2 Type-A ports.
- 1 Gigabit Ethernet LAN.

The manufacturer hasn’t announced availability or pricing, but customers will be able to purchase a fully configured model that comes with memory, storage and Windows 11 Pro. or systems bare bones that the client can connect its own RAM, SSD or choose an operating system, Windows or GNU/Linux also supported on this Intel platform.
