Customers of the American division of the FTX bitcoin exchange have access to classic stock trading. This happened after beta testing was completed among a limited user circle.

The company promised to add the possibility of options trading in the future. Specific dates are not specified.

FTX USA does not charge commissions for transactions with securities and does not use the “pay for order flow” application.

Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of the parent company, stressed that in the first phase, the exchange will not generate revenue from the service. According to Bloomberg, the platform is looking to expand its customer base and increase its presence.

“If we develop this product during a period of low customer activity, we will seize this opportunity when the trade volume increases again” FTX US CEO Brett Harrison said in an interview.

The senior executive declined to be specific about a possible partnership with Robinhood. He stated that he was “excited about the possibility of doing business with an online broker.”

Recall that in May, Emergent Fidelity Technologies, associated with the head of FTX, bought a 7.6% stake in Robinhood.

Later, Bankman-Fried denied information about their plans to take over the online broker exchange. Such a scenario of development of the situation was allowed by Bloomberg sources.

Earlier, Jess Powell, head of the Kraken bitcoin exchange, announced the potential launch of a service for traditional stock trading.
