According to a company blog post, US customers of Coinbase Prime now have Ethereum staking.
“Customers can create a wallet, decide on an amount, and start betting from the ETH Assets page of their Coinbase Prime account,” the firm said.
The funds will be placed in the cold storage of the corporate platform.
Coinbase Prime also has the ability to stake Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Tezos, Celo and other crypto assets.
Recall that in July, Ethereum developers tentatively approved the transition of blockchain to Proof-of-Stake on September 19, 2022.
The Goerli testnet will switch to the new consensus algorithm when the cumulative network difficulty reaches 10,790,000. According to the developers, this will happen between August 6 and 12.
