Strike CEO Jack Mullers has announced several partnerships with a Lightning Network-based payment application operator that will enable the integration of Bitcoin into US retail chains. Reported by Bitcoin Magazine.
At the Bitcoin 2022 conference, he talked about Strike’s collaboration with online commerce giant Shopify, POS terminal provider NCR, and payments company Blackhawk Network.
According to Mullers, integration will exclude banks from the calculations. This will save on commissions for sellers and privacy for buyers.
“You can go to Market, Whole Foods, Chipotle, and if you want to use a Lightning node, just do it. Any online merchant using Shopify can accept payments without a boomer debit card network, get them instantly, with no middlemen after all, no 3% commission. can take,” he said.
He added that he is working with politicians, particularly Senator Cynthia Lummis, to see if a Bitcoin-based payment standard can be promoted.
Recall that in 2021, Strike added the functionality to convert salaries to bitcoin for US users in the application.
