Google Play Store is one of the most popular app stores out there. Now Google seems to have hardened when it comes to updates and has announced that it will stop showing apps that aren’t adapted to the latest versions of Android.

What the Mountain View company is looking for isn’t updating apps with new features, either. Optimized for at least two versions of Android.

When Google introduces a new version of Android, it also API available for developers, so they can adapt their app to the latest version and make it perform better. In this way, it allows them to take advantage of some of the new features included in the new version of the operating system.

Developers who haven’t adapted their apps to the previous two APIs, i.e. from Android 11 onwards before November 1 of this yearare not visible to users.
