According to Etherscan, one of the stablecoin operators blocked the movement of at least 75,000 USDC.

On August 8, a division of the US Treasury Department placed Tornado Cash on the sanctions list. According to the agency, since the service was created in 2019, attackers have laundered more than $7 billion in cryptocurrencies.
“Circle is a regulated company and complies with enforcement requirements. We took action and blocked Tornado Cash-related addresses as determined by OFAC,” the firm told The Block.
Tornado Cash website is down. But we are talking about a static landing page, according to the founder of the service, Roman Semenov. He added that the URLs where access to the application is possible work.

Semenov confirmed that the Github page was blocked.
Recall that in May, the Blender.io cryptocurrency mixer was subject to OFAC sanctions for money laundering by North Korean hackers.
