Binance received approval in principle to operate a digital asset platform and provide custody services at the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC). This was reported to ForkLog by representatives of the bitcoin exchange.

The permit was granted by the AIFC Financial Services Authority. Binance will soon complete the full license application process.

From now on, the exchange will be able to offer its services as a platform operator and a custody service provider for a digital asset platform in AIFC.

โ€œThis move further demonstrates Binance’s commitment to being a compliance-focused exchange and offering products and services worldwide in a secure and well-regulated environment,โ€ said Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance.

Recall that in April, the Kazakhstan Financial Market Regulatory Development Agency announced the launch of a pilot project to create and develop a cryptocurrency exchange.
